Google + has now 170 million users and a new designGoogle Plus Picture
In a blog post, Google is announcing that Google + has now 170 million members and they are rolling out a new design over the next days.
170 million users is just incredible when you know that Google Plus was created only 9 months ago.
The new template is a real win : more simple, more space, and nicer.
Among the biggest changes, the left sidebar is now customizable : menu icons can be rearranged in the order the user wants. When the mouse is over an icon, it changes from gray to “active” and a submenu appears (when applicable). You can also place icons in the “More …” and they disappear from the menu bar.

The new theme now offers a dedicated page for Hangouts with an invitation list of the members of our circles, immediate access to public/live hangouts and a list of the most popular hangouts :
Google will implement this new design in all accounts in the next coming days. Some already have access. In my case I can see the new template on my page but not on my personal profile.
